we enter the final month of 2023 that doesn’t mean that the garden at Leonardslee has any less to offer our visitors or that there isn’t plenty for me and the rest of the garden team to be getting on with right now.

The 2023 harvest at the English vineyard at the Leonardslee Estate in West Sussex has been nothing short of phenomenal.

This season’s lineup promises a diverse range of events that cater to all ages and interests, with the gardens and 24-acre estate remaining a hub of activity and enchantment even as the winter chill sets in.

November may be synonymous with Bonfire Night but it’s the fireworks of the horticultural kind that excite me! As well as the obvious highlights of Acer Walk with its many Maple trees in full show.

We have recently received a Certificate of Internal Registration from the RHS to certify that our application to officially register our ‘Rhododendron Shot Silk’ has been officially accepted.

This beautiful plant was hybridised by Sir Edmund Loder here at Leonardslee, with the resulting hybrid plants becoming a favourite of his.
