Sketchbook Making Workshop 

21 November | 10:00 – 15:30  

Join our fun and friendly sketchbook making workshop hosted by Nikki Loy from The Wandering Gallery.  

During this workshop Nikki will guide you through the process to create your own unique cover artwork, and then use that piece to create an A5 art concertina sketchbook complete with ribbon closure. Drawing inspiration from the foliage within the gardens for your artworks. 

The majority of the art supplies, paper, card and will be provided. However please see below for additional tools you will need to bring along here

A break for lunch will be taken with afternoon tea which includes scones with cream and jam, a sandwich, a slice of cake and a tea or coffee per person. Please email info@leonardsleegardens.co.uk if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. 

Suitable for all abilities and allows participants to work at their own pace with plenty of help and guidance, including demonstrations during the workshop.

What you need to bring:    

  • Scissors   

  • Coloured pencils  

  • Any favourite brushes and paints you may prefer to use (although brushes and paints will be provided) 

  • A hair dryer for ensuring you work is dry 


About Nikki Loy  

Nikki is a truly renaissance creative adventurer, whose creativity spans from illustration and crafts to music and events management, to carpentry and campervan building! Nikki is a professional illustrator and maker and has been creating her own art books for years. 

Her art was first exhibited in St Petersburg, Russia, when she was just 17 in a cultural arts exchange. Nikki is now living in West Sussex and between roller skating and cold-water sea swimming is focused on creating a variety of arts and entertainment events whilst also creating a new collection of artworks.
