There’s no better place to be over half-term than at Leonardslee. From exploring our woodlands or taking part in our National Children’s Gardening Week, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.  

Come and explore with your kids. Adventure, excitement and playfulness await. 

NATIONAL CHILDREN’S GARDENING WEEK

National Children’s Gardening Week aims to encourage children to enjoy and learn about gardening and there's no better place than to celebrate with us whilst the gardens are in full bloom!

28 May – 5 June 

Gardens open from 9:00 - 17:00

Enjoy the activities between 10:00 – 14:00 

Leonardslee members: Free| Non-members: Free with garden entry


CELEBRATE THE QUEEN’S JUBILEE

Celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee with a spring walk through our gardens, highlighting the Coronation Garden.   

Created by Sir Giles Loder 70 years ago to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the Coronation Garden is the perfect place to take a moment and reflect on the Queens long reign and to experience the height of spring in our woodland gardens 

28 May – 5 June 

Free for members | Day entry required for non-members 


JUBILEE AFTERNOON TEA

Celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70-year reign, with a specially designed themed menu brought to you by the Michelin star team of Restaurant Interlude.

With cakes and sandwiches to suit the occasion, our themed tea is one of the tastiest and memorable ways to mark the Platinum Jubilee. Guests able to explore the height of spring in our Grade I listed gardens before or after dining in our historic Leonardslee House for an unforgettable experience.

GARLIC WOOD

30 May , 1st June - 5th June

We are delighted to announce that local foodies, Garlic Wood are here during the Half-term. They will be taking up residency in our gardens, find them near our Clocktower Café with their selection of delicious home cooked food


FLORAL FRINGE FAIR  

Floral Fringe Fair is a high quality, friendly and eclectic fair which includes a variety of contemporary craft & food stalls all organised by Jean and Steve Jackman.

Dogs on leads are welcome

4 & 5 June 2022

Please note that the Floral Fringe Fair is a separate event and requires a separate fair entry ticket to attend. Should you wish to explore the gardens before or after the Floral Fringe Fair, garden entry or a Leonardslee membership is required in addition to the Floral Fringe Fair ticket.


Adur Concert Band

Enjoy traditional music performed by the Adur Concert Band on Friday 3 June on the lawn beside Leonardslee House. 

The Adur Concert Band are a community band that plays concerts all year round in the South East of England.
