Camellia Pottery Painting Workshop with Art Styles Academy

We're delighted to welcome back Jessica Nicholas from Art Styles Academy for a Camellia Pottery Painting Workshop in our Courtyard Café.
Jessica will teach you about the beautiful art of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, his wife Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh and their infamous ‘rose’ design. The Camellias of Leonardslee will serve as inspiration, allowing your design to evolve from observing and sketching.
You will then do some repoussé work and paint greeting cards, before free hand drawing then painting your designs onto your very own mug and plates.
All participants go home with their plate and mug, greeting cards, preparatory studies and some knowledge of the Mackintoshes.

About Jessica Nicholas – Art Styles Academy
Jessica has a degree in Fine Art, City and Guilds Basic Pottery. She is a member of the Association for Art History, and very vaguely related to J.M.W. Turner. Jessica has always drawn and been creative and had the idea of teaching for a while and now Jessica feels so proud she can now finally be able to do it and inspire other people to try new techniques and build their confidence.
