December Forest Bathing Session

I love Forest Bathing at the Winter Solstice. It’s a special time of year that I like to acknowledge, feel my connection to the earth and all its cycles and also to our ancient ancestors who celebrated this time. It’s an opportunity to pause, be still for a while as the sun stands still, take stock of things and become truly present. The elements certainly help you to do that, to become less in your head and more grounded in your body. You can escape the madness of the Christmas rush for a while, all the planning and preparations. Gift yourself some time to be still and observe the beautiful winter landscape around you. There is always something magical and uplifting to experience.

During the session we’ll explore more about the traditions and get closer to some of the trees that are associated with this festival. I think it’s good to get out at this time of the year, doing a gentle but physical activity in the fresh air. It can help boost your immune system, relieve stress and anxiety, uplift your mood and improve concentration and focus. It’s nice to connect with other like minded nature lovers too and set yourself up for a more relaxed and enjoyable Christmas, having let go of some of your stress.
